Shotgun shooting, and rest

Before we left Harlan, we went to shotgun range for saftey training and shotgun shooting.





After Harlan, we made a short hike to Deer Lake. This is a beautiful area with a shallow lake. It was also the only place where we had significant bugs.



Some of the rest rooms had very scenic views. One of the first lessons at Philmont was to use a stick to clear potential black widow and brown recluse spiders from the toilet seats.

Our crew taught a neighboring crew the game Mafia.
