Troop 163 went to Camp Meriwether in the Cascade Pacific Council for summer camp this year. We had 10 scouts and 2 adults: Tom B, Neil B, Trevor d, Ty F, Curtis M, Peter R, Thomas R, Amphil R, Isaac S, and Andy W. The adults were Bob B and Dave R.

We had good weather for most of the week. Friday and Saturday mornings were a bit wet.

The scouts worked on merit badges and the younger scouts worked on rank advancement.
At every meal, Self Centered Sam gave out a Clean Table award for the cleanest table. This usually meant an early exit from the dining hall as well as extra votes when it came to tossing in a staff member into the lake.
Several scouts were working on their Rifle merit badge, and spent a fair amount of their free time building their proficiency for the accuracy requirements. The Camp Meriwether staff.
Anchors, chains, and capstan from the Struan.
On Friday afternoon, the camp holds camp wide games. This involves a number of useful and dubious skills in an attempt to have fun and do a little learning at the same time.
One of the games involved spinning around, and then tossing a shoe into a bucket on the far side of a dividing line. Another involved a timed stretcher carry around random obstacles.
The mine walk was a test of memorization and simple puzzle solving. Talking to the special person sometimes gave interesting clues to other parts of the competition.
