Three Sisters Wilderness 50 mile hike, day 4
The next morning (Monday) a group of us climbed South Sister (over
10,000 feet). The entire group that tried to climb the mountain safely
made it to the and back. We were all exhausted by the time we got back
but we all made it. These are guys will always be known as the "10K
Mountain Men of Troop 163". From the top of South Sister we could see
from Mount Adams all the way to the North past Mount Theilson to the
South. We could even see Mary's Peak to the West. I told the boys I
think we could see Idaho potatoes to the East. That evening Kevin,
Thomas, Nick and Amphil left to go back to Corvallis.

The creek flowing from Moraine Lake was quite pretty, complete
with little waterfalls and such.
Although this region is obviously volcanic, the rock in the
creek is layered. I obviously don't understand.
More of the layered rock.
Sean and Ty try out Moraine Lake. Ty says the water is warm.
Sean disagrees.
