Agenda for 17 March 2003

SPL: Curtis Michael ASPL: ???

21-23 Mar Ft. Stevens We have a number of scouts planning to go. Just before break time, it will be time to make a menu.

29-30 Mar Sean's Eagle Project We will be working with Sean on his Eagle project. He will be announcing time of departure from Jefferson school. Bring gloves, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows. Last I heard, he was looking for a pickup truck still.

31 Mar Chemistry Lab We have gotten another chance for the Chemistry Lab. Let's have a good turnout to make it worth the instructor's time.

31 Mar No school. If we can get it set up, the troop will meet at the scoutmaster's house for a rifle/archery saftey presentation.

4 Apr Jefferson School Carnival The Jefferson school is having their annual Carnival. This is a fund raising event for the school, and our troop has operated a booth for quite a few years. We will need a crew of people working in shifts to help with set up and operation.

5-6 Apr Archery / Rifle Trip This is the current date for the archery and rifle trip. The scoutmaster is waiting to hear back from various people.

6 Apr Cub scout pack pinewood derby This is going to be a busy weekend. Pack 163 is holding their pinewood derby, and would like a few scouts to help run the race. Remember when you did the race? Rejoin that fun.

7 Apr Court of honor It's time for a Court of Honor to recognize the accomplishments of the scouts. We will also have the Friends of Scouting presentation on this night. The meeting will be in the Gym.

12 Apr Scout Show Besides our booth, the cub scout pack may also like a bit of additional help. We do have a booth suitable for our project.

16 Apr Cub Scout pack meeting 21 May The Cub Scout pack is looking for some Den Chiefs to help with their cub scouts. This is a position where you help the younger kids with their den projects. While it requires a serious time commitment, it also has the opportunity for personal growth. The pack meeting is your opportunity to meet the dens.

16 - 18 May Camporee Camporee this year will be back in the woods. There will be a short hike in, but there will not be a hike on the next day.

17 - 23 Aug Summer camp at Camp Pioneer It is time to get in the first payments of $60. The balance of $135 will need to be in to the office by May 15th, so I will need it before then. See: http://www.cpcbsa.org/camp-properties/propertylist/ pioneer/index.html
