newspapers Thanks to the scouts who helped tie newspapers on Saturday. We got the entire trailer tied in about an hour and a half.

15-16 Oct Junior Leader Training This class is intended for those scouts holding leadership posts, or who are likely to soon hold such posts. Contact Dave Regan for particulars.

15-17 Oct Camp Baker Ordeal. Talk to Conrad for more information.

23-24 Oct River's Edge on the Alsea Road. We are scheduled for the River's Edge group campsite in exchange for a service project.

River's Edge is located on the Alsea Rd., Rt 34, on the left near milepost 23. There is a large covered area with picnic tables, a fireplace and grills for charcoal cooking. The area borders the Alsea River. There is a large, open, mowed field between the covered area and the river which is great for games. If they wish scouts and scouters will be able to fish for salmon in the Alsea or Fall Creek, a short drive away. Sean Mix is checking over the fishing regulations and will report on them to the scouts at a meeting before the trip.

As this is near town, this would be a good trip to invite some webelos to.

Break.

7:30 Merit badge classes.
