This is an informal troop meeting being held in the front courtyard
of Jefferson school starting at 7:00.

Catching up on the summer:
	 Have the scouts explain what happened at summer camp.
	  Thomas went to a different summer camp; have him describe
	  his trip as well.  There are photos to pass around. 

	The scouts of the troop earned a lot of merit badges
	at summer camp, but there was a few partials.  Who has
	partials, and what do the scouts need to finish them up?

	Ian has a partial in fishing.  I believe a quick discussion
	 of the requirements with him, and confirmation from his father,
	 will be sufficient to sign that one off.

	A number of the scouts have completed the requirements for
	their rank.  In particular, Kyle and Matt believe that they
	are ready for Star.  I expect that Ian and Curtis may be ready;
	or very close.  We need to conduct the Boards of Review and
	Scoutmaster's conference before the next Court of Honor.


Upcoming activities:
	Overnight hike.  John Dion will explain some of the opportunities.

	Newpaper tying.  On one of the upcoming weekends (not interfering
	with the hike), we need to tie the newspapers and retrieve those
	from the boxes.

	The merit badge classes during the troop meetings last year
	worked out well.  What merit badges have wide appeal to the
	scouts (preferably eagle required).  Some candidates:
		Citizenship in the Community, Nation, and World
		Communications
		Family Life
		First Aid
		Personal Fitness
	Which of these are the scouts interested in?
	Do we have adults willing to present one of these during the meetings?
